Description:
-Series RFC Rotary Frequency Converter 125kVA
-The M-G set and associated controls will provide frequency conversion from a 60 Hz Utility to a 400 Hz load.
Physical Description:
The M-G set shall consist of the following elements:
• Low slip Induction Motor
• Variable Frequency Drive
• Analog meters with relay logic
• Brush-less Synchronous Generator
• Brush-less Direct Connected AC Exciter with Rotating Rectifiers
• 4 Bearing Motor and Generator direct coupled
• Generator Output Circuit Breaker
• NEMA 1 controls, open skid with guard
Motor Control:
START switch at the M-G set which activates the Variable Frequency Drive
Metering (2% accuracy) shall be provided to monitor the following conditions:
• AC Input Voltmeter Each line voltage with selector switch
• AC Input Current Each phase with selector switch
• AC Output Voltage Each line-to-line voltage with selector switch
• AC Output Current Each phase with selector switch
Voltage Adjustment Range:
Output voltage control shall provide up to a +/- (plus/minus) 10% adjustment range from nominal.
Fault Dectectors:
The M-G sets shall be equipped with protective devices that shut the unit down and activate internal latched indicators.
